In 2015, Jaehyuck Choi and his peers Da-hyun Chung, Ji Weon Ryu, and Won Lee founded the ensemble blank with pure passion and love for the new music embracing the unfamiliar beauty.
Under the artistic direction of Jaehyuck Choi, the musicians work in close collaboration with composers, exploring instrumental techniques and developing projects that interweave music and other genres of the arts.
The ensemble is renown for its strong emphasis on creative projects approaching towards the public whilst embracing the core elements and the will of the creative arts without artistic compromises.
앙상블블랭크는 현대음악과 현대예술, 새로운 아름다움에 대한 열정과 사랑을 가지고 있던 작곡가 겸 지휘자 최재혁과 퍼커셔니스트 이원석, 피아니스트 정다현, 그리고 플룻티스트 류지원에 의해 2015년 결성되었다.
앙상블블랭크는 현대음악 뿐만 아니라 다른 분야의 예술가들과도 협업을 하며, 이러한 익숙하지 않지만 새롭고 신선한 미학적 관점들을 대중들이 재미있고 열정적으로 받아드릴 수 있도록 소개하고 있다.
장욱진미술관, 국립현대미술관 서울관, 부띠끄모나코, 금호아트홀연세 등 기존의 실내악 공연장과 미술관을 넘나들며 연주하며 관객과 소통하고자 하는 앙상블블랭크는 미국 LA 쇤베르크 홀에서도 연주를 하며 그 연주력을 인정받았고, 부띠끄모나코에서는 낮잠공연과 와인과 함께하는 공연을 엶으로써 클래식 공연장의 딱딱한 분위기에서 벗어나 사람들 속으로 들어가고자 한다. 2020/2021 시즌 앙상블블랭크는 대전 예술의전당, 대구 콘서트하우스, 서울 예술의전당, 일신홀 등 전통적인 공연장의 초청공연도 가질 예정이며 작곡가 손혁, 김혁재의 작품들도 세계초연 할 예정이다.

Soon after winning the Concours de Geneve in 2017 for his Clarinet Concerto, NOCTURNE III, his music is being actively played and commissioned by the ensembles and festivals in the continents of Europe, America, and in Asia such as the Ensemble intercontemporain, L’Orchestre de Chambre de Geneve, Tonkunstler Orchester, Gyeonggi Philharmonic Orchestra, Budapest Concerto Symphony Orchestra, Parker Quartet, Banff International Music Festival, Festival du Perigord Noir, Menuhin International Violin Competition, Concours de Geneve, and so forth.
In 2018, at the Lucerne Festival, Jaehyuck made his international debut conducting the London Symphony Orchestra and the Orchestra of the Lucerne Festival Academy on Stockhausen’s Gruppen (for three orchestras and three conductors) with Sir Simon Rattle and Duncan Ward as a substitute of Matthias Pintscher which quickly distinguished himself as one of the leading artists of his generation.
